Staff members collect samples through combined nasal and throat swabs for citizens subject to compulsory testing in the Aberdeen restricted area.

The Government announced that the compulsory testing exercise and enforcement operation for the restricted area in Aberdeen finished today with no positive COVID-19 cases found.

It made a restriction-testing declaration yesterday evening, requiring citizens in 2-4 Tung Sing Road in Aberdeen to stay in their premises and undergo compulsory testing. Around 55 people were tested.

In the subsequent enforcement operation, around 20 people’s test records were checked. No one was found to be non-compliant.

Government staff also visited around 45 households in the restricted area, of which some 10 did not answer the door. Such households are urged to contact the Government promptly to arrange testing.

According to the compulsory testing notice issued yesterday, those who had stayed in 2-4 Tung Sing Road within a specified period for more than two hours must undergo testing by tomorrow even if they were not in the restricted area when the declaration took effect.
