The Hospital Authority announced today that 11 selected general out-patient clinics originally scheduled to provide Sinovac vaccination services will change to providing the BioNTech vaccine.

The authority said it made the switch in response to the public’s demand for different vaccines, as well as dovetailing with the Government’s COVID-19 vaccination programme.

As it takes time for manpower deployment and adjustment to some clinic services, the BioNTech vaccination services in those 11 clinics will start on January 25 with online booking available from January 22.

Meanwhile, the Tai O Jockey Club General Out-patient Clinic will be added to provide Sinovac vaccination services starting January 27.

Another 11 general out-patient clinics providing Sinovac vaccination services will start as scheduled on January 21.

Online booking for Sinovac vaccination at these 12 clinics will be available from January 18.

Together with the two clinics currently providing the services, a total of 14 selected general out-patient clinics will provide Sinovac vaccination services, the authority added.
