Constitution Day seminar to be held

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government (CPG) in the Hong Kong SAR will hold an online seminar on Constitution Day tomorrow.

 

The seminar, which comprises a keynote address and a panel discussion, will explore the relationship between the Constitution and "one country, two systems".

 

It will also discuss how to better implement the "one country, two systems" principle in Hong Kong under the framework of the Constitution.

 

Chief Executive Carrie Lam and CPG Liaison Office in the Hong Kong SAR Director Luo Huining will address the seminar.

 

After that, Vice Chairman of both the Legislative Affairs Commission and Hong Kong SAR Basic Law Committee under the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee Zhang Yong will deliver a keynote speech.

 

The panel discussion will be moderated by the Endeavour Education Centre's Management Committee Chairman Rita Fan.

 

She will host a discussion on the relationship between the Constitution and "one country, two systems" with Adjunct Professor of Economics of the University of Science & Technology Prof Francis Lui, and Former Hong Kong SAR Deputy to the NPC Prof Priscilla Lau.

 

The online seminar will be broadcast from 3pm to 4.30pm tomorrow on webcast.info.gov.hk and the Constitutional & Mainland Affairs Bureau's Facebook page.
