CE to visit GZ, SZ

Chief Executive Carrie Lam will depart for Guangzhou via Shenzhen tomorrow.

 

On October 14, Mrs Lam will attend the opening ceremony of the 130th China Import & Export Fair & the Pearl River International Trade Forum. Financial Secretary Paul Chan, Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Edward Yau, Director of the Chief Executive’s Office Chan Kwok-ki, and Commissioner for the Development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Tommy Yuen will join.

 

She will then head to Shenzhen in the afternoon on the same day to meet the city’s leaders. Mr Yau, Chan Kwok-ki and Mr Yuen, as well as Secretary for the Environment KS Wong, Secretary for Transport & Housing Frank Chan, Secretary for Innovation & Technology Alfred Sit and Secretary for Security Tang Ping-keung will participate in the Shenzhen programme.

 

Mrs Lam will return to Hong Kong on the evening of October 14. During her absence, Chief Secretary John Lee will be Acting Chief Executive.
