The Government today confirmed that Political Assistant to the Secretary for Home Affairs Jade Lai has tendered her resignation.

In response to media enquiries, it said Ms Lai is currently on leave and will no longer work for the Government from January 20.

Secretary for Home Affairs Caspar Tsui thanked Ms Lai for her contribution during her tenure and wished her a happy life.

Ms Lai resigned due to the need to take care of her family, the Government added.
