The Sports Premises Subsidy Scheme under the latest round of the Anti-epidemic Fund will open on January 14, the Government announced today.

The scheme, with an application deadline of February 17, will provide a one-off subsidy of $100,000 to each eligible sports premise.

It aims to alleviate the financial burden arising from their closure since December 10 last year as directed by the Prevention & Control of Disease (Requirements & Directions) (Business & Premises) Regulation.

Eligible sports premises must possess a fixed address and individually operated premises in Hong Kong where its principal and substantive business is to provide indoor or outdoor sporting activities as promoted by the respective national sports associations or sports organisations recognised by the Leisure & Cultural Services Department.
