76 COVID-19 cases reported

The Centre for Health Protection today said it is investigating 76 additional COVID-19 cases, of which 68 are locally transmitted.

 

The centre’s Communicable Disease Branch Head Dr Chuang Shuk-kwan said at a press briefing this afternoon that the cases involve 33 men and 43 women.

 

Among the locally transmitted cases, nine have unknown sources of infection, 59 are linked with previous cases, of which 40 are related to the dance club cluster.

 

The dance club cluster has registered about 520 cases so far.

 

She added that there are eight imported cases.

 

While noting that the number of infection cases fell from the previous day, Dr Chuang advised the public to stay vigilant and avoid social gatherings as much as possible.
