Officers from the Labour Department, Police and the Food & Environmental Hygiene Department hand out promotional leaflets on anti-epidemic measures to foreign domestic helpers at Statue Square in Central.

The Labour Department, Police and the Food & Environmental Hygiene Department today started conducting mobile broadcasts in popular gathering places of foreign domestic helpers (FDHs) to urge them to comply with anti-epidemic measures.

Publicity vans parked at popular foreign helper gathering places across the city broadcasted reminders on the regulations on the prohibition of group gatherings and mask-wearing requirement in public places in Chinese, English, Tagalog, Bahasa Indonesia and Thai.

The vans will conduct the mobile broadcasts at these places for two consecutive days.

Leaflets were also distributed by officers from the departments to appeal to them to maintain environmental hygiene and refrain from conducting unlicensed hawking activities.

Police also increased manpower to step up patrols in these locations.

The Labour Department will continue to appeal to FDHs to avoid non-essential gatherings and to stay at home as much as possible.
