Cossack heroism to hit the stage
November 01, 2013
The Don Cossacks State Academic Song & Dance Ensemble in honour of Anatoly Kvasov will perform in November.
The Don Cossacks from southwest Russia are as renowned for their 400-year-old artistic traditions as they are for their fighting skills.
Their musical repertoire ranges from rousing military songs to ballads extolling the Don River and village life, while their dance pieces feature exuberant sabre-wielding male performers and graceful female artists.
Clad in dazzling costumes and accompanied by brass, wind and traditional instruments, the ensemble will perform on November 15 at City Hall, November 16 at Sha Tin Town Hall, and November 17 at Tuen Mun Town Hall.
Tickets are available at URBTIX. Call 2370 1044 for enquiries.
