The Alice Theatre Laboratory will stage
One Hundred Years of Solitude in Cantonese next month, based on the famous story by Nobel laureate Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
Released 40 years ago, the novel's surreal and fantastical ideas have inspired artists and writers around the world. Director Andrew Chan and his actors will stretch their theatrical creativity to the limit - as Marquez does in words - to portray this fable of solitude in the author's enchanting storytelling style.
