A company was fined $54,000 by Kwun Tong Magistracy today for wage offences. 
                                                 
                                                ACS International failed to pay wages to six employees within a week after the expiry of their wage periods as required by the Employment Ordinance.
                                                 
                                                The breach involved $240,000.
                                                 
                                                The Labour Department said the ruling sends a strong message to employers to comply with the Employment Ordinance.
