Secretary for Education Kevin Yeung visited the elderly in Yau Tsim Mong District today as part of the Celebrations for All project.
He visited elderly singletons and couples in two residential buildings to learn about their daily lives and needs.
He gave them gift packs to share the joy of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
He said he hopes the young volunteers participating in the visit can learn more about the history and needs of their neighbourhood.
Principal officials will keep conducting home visits to listen to citizens' views, he added.
