Exam results 'tools' provided

July 13, 2012
The Education Bureau has produced three tools to help Secondary Six graduates prepare for the release of the Diploma of Secondary Education examination results on July 20.

They are the pamphlet Compass@720, the electronic tool e-Navigator, and a consolidated checklist for graduates of key dates on admissions and registration of institutions.

The compass pamphlet provides admission arrangements at various institutions, important dates, telephone hotlines, and other support services.

The "e-Navigator: Multiple Pathways under the New Academic Structure" is an one-stop APP to search for 3,000 local programmes available in the Joint University Programmes Admissions System, the Information Portal for Accredited Post-secondary Programmes, and on the Qualifications Register.

The bureau will set up a call centre with 20 telephone hotlines on 2892 6661 from 8am to 8pm from July 18 to 27 to provide information and counselling to students and parents. Four Regional Education Offices will also provide face-to-face enquiry services on the same dates.

The Employees Retraining Board and the bureau will set up three service centres in Kwun Tong, Cheung Sha Wan, and Tin Shui Wai from July 23 to 27, offering 2,000 job vacancies from more than 50 organisations.
