Immigration Dept to help injured

July 19, 2016

The Immigration Department will provide all practical assistance according to the wishes of the four Hong Kong people injured in the train attack in Germany and their family.

The department will deploy four officers tonight to accompany the victims' family members to Germany.

Staff from the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office, Berlin, visited the injured in hospital earlier today.

Liaison is continuing with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' office in Hong Kong, the Chinese embassy in Germany, the German embassy in Beijing and other agencies to follow up on the incident.

Hong Kong residents in Germany are advised to watch their personal safety and can call the department's 24-hour hotline (852) 1868 for assistance.
