The Immigration Department and Police have arrested 13 Mainlanders, aged 18 to 48, in an anti-illegal employment operation in Sheung Shui and Lok Ma Chau.
The three men and 10 women were arrested yesterday for breaching their stay conditions by being involved in parallel goods trading.
Officers seized milk powder, food, wine, daily necessities, and skin-care and electronic products.
A total of 1,970 Mainlanders and 14 Hong Kong residents have been arrested for parallel goods trading since 2012. Of these, 213 Mainlanders have been prosecuted, and 203 of them have been jailed.
