CP urges forum order

Commissioner of Police Andy Tsang has urged people planning to attend the Chief Executive’s district forum, or to protest outside the venue, to follow Police instructions.Mr Tsang told reporters today Police have contacted related parties to explain the arrangements for this afternoon's forum. He hopes people with different views follow the arrangements and conduct their activities in different demonstration areas.
Police will ensure sufficient manpower to handle any situation that may occur, he said, adding Police will conduct risk assessment every time these activities are held, to ensure sufficient measures to uphold public order and safety.
He also said traffic diversions and road closures will affect the public and called for co-operation with Police officers.
