The Department of Justice has welcomed the establishment of the China Maritime Arbitration Commission centre in Hong Kong, the first outside the Mainland.
The department hopes the centre will reinforce the city's position as a leading centre for international legal and dispute resolution services in the Asia Pacific region.
The inauguration ceremony will be held at the Convention & Exhibition Centre on November 19.
The department, the centre, the International Arbitration Centre and the Trade Development Council will hold a seminar on the same day to promote the greater use of maritime arbitration services in Hong Kong.
Both the seminar and the inauguration ceremony are part of the Asian Logistics & Maritime Conference to be held on November 18 and 19.
