CE takes property action

Chief Executive Donald Tsang has ordered the dismantling of glass panels in the property he owns at 64 MacDonnell Road, in accordance with a Buildings Department advisory letter.
 
He will reconstruct the verandah involved, so it meets all legal requirements.
 
The department said a site inspection found large glass panels were used to enclose the verandah of the flat.
 
It said enforcement action taken in 2006 at the flat was to only remove actionable items projected from the external walls of the building. The glass panels were not included in the removal order at the time.
