Lau Kong-wah buoys HK athletes

Secretary for Home Affairs Lau Kong-wah visited Rio de Janeiro today to meet Hong Kong's Olympic athletes.He inspected the venue for rowing competitions to learn about the athletes' final preparations.
He then attended a welcoming ceremony and a flag-raising ceremony for the Hong Kong delegation at the Olympic Village, and encouraged the athletes to give their best in their competitions.
He said it is a remarkable achievement for Hong Kong athletes to participate in the Olympic Games, saying he believes they will perform well.
He will attend the Olympic Games opening events and ceremony tomorrow.
