HK week Taipei set for Sept

(August 11, 2015)

The latest Hong Kong Week 2015@Taipei event will be held in Taipei from September 10 to October 11.

Presented by the Hong Kong-Taiwan Cultural Co-operation Committee and the Hong Kong Economic, Trade & Cultural Office (Taiwan), the event is being held for the fourth time.

This year's theme is "Arts through Time". It will feature a wide and exciting range of programmes and extension activities to showcase the creation and passing on of legacies in different artistic fields in Hong Kong, and artists' responses to their present living and social environments.

The event will open with the "In the Name of Art - Hong Kong Contemporary Art Exhibition" co-organised by the Hong Kong Museum of Art and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Taipei.

Speaking at a press briefing today, committee convenor Fredric Mao said the show has become a major annual cultural event between Hong Kong and Taiwan in just a few years, attracting 120,000 visitors last year.

Director of Leisure & Cultural Services Michelle Li said her department is pleased to work with the committee again to enhance understanding and cultural exchange between Hong Kong and Taiwan.
