The Centre for Health Protection has learned of an avian influenza A (H5N1) case in Yunnan, involving a 34-year-old man in serious condition.
The man lives in Kunming and had been exposed to poultry.
The centre reminds people not to visit live poultry markets and farms, and to avoid contact with poultry, birds or their droppings.
