North Lantau Hospital will extend its accident and emergency services to 24 hours from September 25 to provide a more comprehensive healthcare service for Tung Chung residents.
It will also provide an inpatient service including 20 acute beds and 20 convalescent beds in the initial phase.
Specialist outpatient services for surgery, orthopaedics and traumatology, and the Day Rehabilitation Centre came into operation in mid-September.
A Day Procedure Centre will open in the fourth quarter of this year, while allied health services, such as speech therapy and a dietetic service, will also be provided.
The hospital is under the Hospital Authority's Kowloon West Cluster.
