The Centre for Health Protection is investigating a suspected local case of MERS, or Middle East Respiratory Syndrome, affecting a 49-year-old man.
He arrived from Kuwait via Dubai on August 2. He came down with a fever on August 4 and was admitted to Ruttonjee Hospital today.
No cases of the disease have been confirmed in Hong Kong.
