The Centre for Food Safety has banned poultry and poultry product imports from Dronten, Flevoland in the Netherlands, following an H5N1 outbreak on a poultry farm.
The World Organisation for Animal Health notified the centre of the outbreak today.
Import bans on the same items from Groningen province have been in effect since December.
About 18,000 tonnes of frozen poultry meat, 26 tonnes of chilled poultry meat and 14 million poultry eggs were imported to Hong Kong from the Netherlands last year.
