Jiangxi man dies of H10N8 bird flu

The Centre for Health Protection has learned of a fatal human case of avian influenza A(H10N8) in a man, aged 75, in Jiangxi.
 
The man, who had been exposed to poultry, was admitted to a local hospital with fever on February 4. He died on February 8.
 
Lab tests yesterday confirmed he had had avian influenza A(H10N8).
 
No such cases have been recorded in Hong Kong.
