5 new Mainland H7N9 cases reported

The Centre for Health Protection is monitoring five additional human H7N9 cases on the Mainland.

 

Four cases in Guangdong involve three men and one woman aged between 28 and 82. One 58-year-old man died on January 30, and the other three are in hospital.

 

The other patient, from Hunan, is a 38-year-old man who is also in hospital.

 

This brings the total of confirmed human cases on the Mainland to 271.
