Secretary for Food & Health Dr Ko Wing-man will visit Macau tomorrow to learn about Chinese medicine research and development facilities, and to witness the signing of a co-operation agreement on food safety.
Dr Ko will tour the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicines, jointly established by the University of Macau and the Macau University of Science & Technology.
He will also attend a ceremony with Macau's Secretary for Administration & Justice Florinda da Rosa Silva Chan, to witness the signing of a co-operation agreement between Macau’s Civic & Municipal Affairs Bureau and Hong Kong’s Food & Environmental Hygiene Department.
The agreement will strengthen co-operation and information exchange on food safety.
Dr Ko will return to Hong Kong in the afternoon.
