Italian coronavirus cases monitored

The Department of Health is monitoring two new novel coronavirus cases Italy reported to the World Health Organisation, which are close contacts of that country's first confirmed case.
 
The two female patients, aged two and 42, are in stable condition.
 
This brings the latest global number of confirmed cases to 53, including 30 deaths.
 
The Centre for Health Protection will continue to work closely with the organisation and overseas health authorities to monitor the latest developments.
 
No human infection with this virus has been identified in Hong Kong.
