4 H7 cases test negative

The Centre for Health Protection has been notified of a suspected human case of Influenza A (H7) fulfilling the reporting criteria, and three cases which do not, in the 24-hour period starting at noon on April 14. All have tested negative for H7.
The case fulfilling the criteria involves a 30-year-old woman who visited Shanghai and Jiangsu and was exposed to poultry. She is stable in Queen Mary Hospital.
Since March 31, the centre has received 11 notifications of cases fulfilling the reporting criteria, and 27 notifications of cases which did not.
No confirmed human cases of H7N9 have yet been recorded in Hong Kong.
