Health chief continues London visit

Secretary for Food & Health Dr York Chow continued his London visit to learn more about the UK's National Health Service adult social care services.
Dr Chow visited the Care Quality Commission, an independent regulator of health and adult social care services in England.
Hong Kong is facing the problem of an ageing population, Dr Chow said, and the Government would take the opportunity to make reference to the operation and development of the UK’s adult social care services.
He also met Sir Cyril Chantler, an overseas expert on the Hong Kong Steering Committee on Strategic Review on Healthcare Manpower Planning & Professional Development.Dr Chow explained that the Hong Kong Government was conducting this review to ensure the healthy and sustainable development of Hong Kong's healthcare system.
He then visited the British Medical Association representative to exchange views on medical practitioners' professional qualifications and ethics.
Dr Chow will leave London for Paris on May 19 to attend the World Organisation for Animal Health meeting.
