Man with Legionnaires' disease dies

The Centre for Health Protection is investigating the death of a 55-year-old Dutch tourist who had Legionnaires' disease.
 
The man arrived alone in Hong Kong yesterday. He developed severe shortness of breath and was admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital in critical condition. He died today.
 
He tested positive for the Legionella antigen.
 
It is the seventh case of Legionnaires' disease reported this year. There were 17 and 20 cases in 2011 and 2010.
