Man critical with Legionnaires' disease

The Centre for Health Protection is investigating a case of Legionnaires' Disease involving a 65-year-old man.
He fell ill on April 24 and was admitted to United Christian Hospital on May 1. He is now in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit.
He tested positive for Legionella bacteria. He had travelled to Shenzhen in mid-April. His close contact has no symptoms.
It is the sixth case of Legionnaires' Disease this year. There were 17 cases in 2011 and 20 in 2010.
