Lunar New Year fireworks set for Jan 24

A total of 39,898 pyrotechnic shells will be fired from four barges in the Lunar New Year fireworks display on January 24, to ring in the Year of the Dragon.
The 23-minute show, co-ordinated by the Home Affairs Bureau, will start at 8pm over Victoria Harbour, consisting of eight scenes.
Highlights of the display include multiple shapes of "8" and gold taels symbolising blessings from the God of Fortune, wishing Hong Kong people a prosperous Year of the Dragon.
The display can be seen from both sides of the harbour, including Tsim Sha Tsui, Mid-levels, Central, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay and Hung Hom.
More than 280,000 spectators are expected to line the harbourfront to view the display.
Radio Television Hong Kong Radio Four (FM 97.6 - 98.9) will broadcast synchronised music.
