Hand, foot, mouth cases rise

The Centre for Health Protection has issued an alert to childcare centres and kindergartens following a rise in hand, foot and mouth disease outbreaks.
 
As at October 20, the centre had recorded 25 cases of institutional outbreaks of the disease, higher than  the 15 in August and 23 in September.
 
The centre today sent letters to childcare centres and kindergartens to alert them to the latest situation and provide advice on prevention and control.
