21 ill with hand-foot-mouth disease

The Centre for Health Protection is investigating a hand, foot and mouth disease outbreak at a Mong Kok residential childcare centre, affecting 21 children aged one to three.
 
The 10 boys and 11 girls developed oral ulcers, a fever, and blisters and a rash on their hands or feet since July 31.
 
Two tested positive for Enterovirus-71.
 
The centre has conducted a site visit and provided health advice to the institution.
