May 18, 2011
The Centre for Health Protection urges the public to take precautions against Dengue fever while on holiday.
It issued the warning today after confirming the illness in two men who recently holidayed in Phuket.
Aged 57 and 52, they fell ill on May 6. They saw a private doctor and have since recovered.
Eight cases of imported Dengue fever have been reported so far this year. There were 79 imported cases and four local ones reported last year.
