A 27-year-old woman has died of human swine flu, while a 16-year-old boy is in serious condition with the virus, the Hospital Authority confirmed today.
The woman was admitted to Tseung Kwan O Hospital yesterday. She was prescribed Tamiflu and antibiotics, and was put on ventilation support in the intensive care unit. She died last night.
Tests confirmed she was infected with human swine flu and the case has been referred to the Coroner.
Meanwhile, the teenager was admitted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on January 23 and was confirmed to have human swine flu today.
