Two  Madame Pearl’s Cough Syrup N10 are recalled

Karen Laboratories is recalling all batches of two Madame Pearl’s cough syrup, the Department of Health announced today.

 

The recalled products are caramel flavour Madame Pearl’s Cough Syrup N10 (HK-59221) and fruit flavour Madame Pearl’s Cough Syrup N10 (HK-59222).

 

The department received a complaint on November 1 regarding the presence of glass fragments in a bottle of the caramel flavour syrup. No other reports have been received.

 

Both products are new on the market and were registered in February. Both are over-the-counter medicines.

 

A total of 16 batches, including seven of the caramel flavour and nine of plain N10 had been supplied to Hong Kong and Macau.

 

The drugs’ distributor Luxembourg Medicine has set up an enquiry hotline 3526 6666.
