Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So will visit Australia August 10 to 16 to meet officials and boost ties.
In Melbourne Mr So will attend luncheons and meet with start-ups and textile industry representatives. He will also tour a technical and further-education institute, and attend a dinner gathering with Hong Kong people living and working in the city.
In Canberra Mr So will meet senior Australian government officials to discuss boosting bilateral relations.
In Adelaide Mr So will meet state government officials and help open the OzAsia Festival. He will also meet with wine associations, and visit wineries and food and wine research organisations.
Mr So will then stopover in Sydney to see the operation of food trucks in the city, before returning to Hong Kong.
Under Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Godfrey Leung will be Acting Secretary during Mr So's absence.
