ATV must maintain its level of service under the Broadcasting Ordinance until April 1 next year or the Communications Authority will impose a fine or launch licence revocation procedures.

Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So made the statement today in response to media reports that an ATV official said the TV station may close by the end of next month.

Mr So said any licensee not wishing to provide services according to the Broadcasting Ordinance must seek permission from the Communications Authority and the Chief Executive in Council.
