The Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office in Wuhan, tasked to promote closer links between Hong Kong and central Mainland provinces, opened today.
The office serves Hubei, Hunan, Shanxi, Jiangxi and Henan, and will strengthen support for Hong Kong people and enterprises in the provinces.
Director Sara Tse said the office will also encourage Mainland enterprises to invest in Hong Kong and foster mutual understanding between Hong Kong and these places.
The plan to open the Wuhan office was announced in the Chief Executive’s 2013 Policy Address.
