Financial Secretary John Tsang says he will consolidate lawmakers’ recommendations concerning the 2011-12 Budget and come up with proposals to address people’s concerns.

Speaking to reporters after meeting legislators this afternoon, Mr Tsang said he had listened to people’s views on the fiscal blueprint and they expressed their aspiration for a tax rebate and concerns over the proposed Mandatory Provident Fund injection.

Noting he had received solid recommendations from lawmakers at today’s meeting, he said he will study the suggestions and come up with proposals as soon as possible.

Understanding people’s concern about a number of livelihood issues including the property market, wealth-gap and ageing population, he said he will grasp opportunities to solve these problems.
