Chief Executive CY Leung has accepted Starry Lee's resignation from the Executive Council and appointed Ip Kwok-him to the council with immediate effect.  

He expressed his gratitude to Ms Lee for her contribution and valuable advice on policy-making since she joined the council in July 2012.   

Mr Leung noted Mr Ip's rich experience in the Legislative Council, public service as well as in district work and expressed confidence that he would provide wise counsel in policy-making after joining ExCo.
