Retirement consultation challenging

The consultation work on retirement protection is challenging as many people already have a stance on the core issues, however, the Government will rise to the challenge, Chief Secretary Carrie Lam says.
 
Speaking to reporters after attending a forum this evening, Mrs Lam said the consultation on retirement protection will be the Government’s priority in the coming six months.
 
She said she will seize every opportunity to explain the proposals and listen to people’s views, and will attend all the consultation sessions organised by the Commission on Poverty.
 
As to whether she will attend meetings organised by other bodies to discuss the matter, Mrs Lam said she keeps an open attitude and will attend if time permits.
