Chief Executive CY Leung says the Government will keep co-operating with the academic and business sectors to promote Hong Kong's innovation and technology development.
Mr Leung told the media today four significant initiatives were implemented in Hong Kong this year.
These include the announcements that Sweden's Karolinska Institutet and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology will set up research centres in Hong Kong, the establishment of the Innovation & Technology Bureau, and the formation of the Academy of Sciences.
