Chief Executive CY Leung met World Intellectual Property Organisation Director General Francis Gurry at the Chief Executive's Office today.
Mr Gurry is in Hong Kong for the Business of Intellectual Property Asia Forum.
During the meeting Mr Leung noted the rising awareness of IP protection in the region, adding the city's outstanding business environment, robust IP protection regime and super-connector role between the Mainland and the rest of the world promotes the city as a regional IP trading hub.
He said he hopes they continue close communication and co-operation to enhance IP protection.
