Chief Executive CY Leung today met Hunan Governor Du Jiahao at Government House.

Mr Du is in Hong Kong to attend the Hunan (Hong Kong) Investment & Trade Promotion Week, and Mr Leung wished him a successful event.

Mr Leung said Hong Kong has a large pool of talent and rich management experience in various high-end service sectors and can act as a "super-connector" for Hunan's development, especially in areas of financial and professional services, trade, maritime and tourism, to complement the implementation of its "attracting investment" and "going global" strategies.

Hong Kong and Hunan enjoy close economic ties under the Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement, he said, and expressed the hope that the two places continue to make use of the Pan-Pearl River Delta platform to strengthen exchanges and co-operation and bring about mutual benefits.
