Business hurt by blockades

(October 12, 2014)

Eastern District Council members, residents and business operators spoke to protesters in Causeway Bay today, urging them to clear the roads.

They said that the roadblocks had affected residents' lives and businesses in the district, with some small shops seeing a 10% to 20% drop in trade.

The Council’s Vice Chairman Kung Pak-cheung called for the re-opening of major roads so that people’s lives and order could resume.
