CE to attend Beijing-HK symposium

Chief Executive CY Leung will attend the 17th Beijing-Hong Kong Economic Co-operation Symposium opening ceremony in the capital on October 23.
Mr Leung and Hong Kong industrial and commercial sector representatives attending the symposium will then meet with Beijing Municipal Government leaders.
The next day, Mr Leung will call on Central Government financial officials, and Mainland financial institution leaders, including those from the People's Bank of China, the China Securities Regulatory Commission, the Industrial & Commercial Bank of China and the Bank of China.
Mr Leung will also meet Hong Kong people who study and do business in the capital.
Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury Prof KC Chan, Secretary for Constitutional & Mainland Affairs Raymond Tam, Chief Executive Office Director Edward Yau, Director of Information Services Michael Wong, the Chief Executive’s Private Secretary Carlson Chan, Senior Special Assistant Chan Kin-ping, and Assistant Director (Media) Nick Au Yeung will join the Chief Executive.
Mr Leung will return to Hong Kong on October 24. During his absence, Chief Secretary Carrie Lam will be Acting Chief Executive.
