Respect Zandra Mok's decision: CE
August 11, 2013
Chief Executive CY Leung says it is a pity that Political Assistant to the Secretary for Labour & Welfare Zandra Mok has resigned due to her need to take care of her young children, but the public should respect her decision.
Speaking to the media today, Mr Leung said Ms Mok had tendered her resignation earlier than Political Assistant to the Secretary for Development Henry Ho. He hoped the public would not speculate too much on the motive for her decision, and leave room for public officers who have resigned due to family considerations.
Secretary for Labour & Welfare Matthew Cheung said Ms Mok will leave the government with effect from August 24. He thanked her for the contribution to his bureau during her tenure. He said her decision was to make more time for her family.
